Telephones Mount Aloysius College maintains the voicemail and phone switch on campus. To place calls on campus simply dial the 4-digit extension. To place a call off campus you must dial a 9 first then the number you wish to call. Each call from every phone on campus both inbound and outbound is charted, recorded, and stored. Mount Aloysius College reserves the right to review, distribute, and utilize these reports as necessary. These reports are distributed automatically to the department manager's "I" drive on the 1st of every month. The Controller's office receives a summary and the departments are charged accordingly for their long distance call usage. Voicemail How do you know if you have a message waiting? If you have a VOIP phone, you will have a message waiting light indicator on the phone handset which will inform you of a waiting message. You will also see a flashing envelope symbol on the phone display, next to your name. If you do not have a VOIP phone, you can tell you have a waiting message by simply lifting the handset and listen. If you hear a "stutter" dial tone, you have a message. To listen to your voicemail messages from off campus simply dial 814-886-6600 the follow the instructions. If you are on campus and have a VOIP phone, you can hit the messages button and then it will prompt you for your extension. You can also dial 6600 whether you have a VOIP phone or not and it will prompt you also. If you are off-campus, dial 886-6600 and hit the * button to receive the same prompt. Please review the Telephone and Voicemail section. This section will explain how to setup your voicemail, add greetings, change passwords, and several advanced features.
